lyrics

We're not to hurt the ones we love
But all too often they're the ones that we hurt the most
Every relationship
Including being intimate
Is founded on the premise of love & respect
In sickness & health
For better or worse
Rich or poor til death do us part
This philosophy of unconditionality
Applies equally to every sentient being

Love not for just one
But love for all
For what happens to your love
When your one love dies?

Make the commitment to be more compassionate
May all beings be free from suffering!
For every living being is experiencing
Some form or another of pain & suffering
Gotta know thyself to love thyself
To love thy neighbor as thyself
Love is living selflessly
Wishing others to be happy
Sowing seeds of harmony
And harvesting peace

If love is me wishing you to be happy
Then how could I ever be angry?
If love is me wishing me to be happy
Then how could I ever be angry?

My emotions are my responsibility
It's up to me whether I'm happy or angry
Wise action not reaction in every interaction
Will decide whether I'm satisfied
Or feeling dissatisfaction
In place of indifference, liking & disliking
Lies the unwavering peace of mind
To accept all that is without conditions
This is the love without contradiction

The path to peace is paved with wisdom
Love, compassion & leads to equanimity
The path to peace is paved with wisdom
Love, compassion, & walked in equanimity

Living to learn to love

Acceptance without conditions
